A very special and limited number of hand-embellished colour variants. Appropriately titled, ‘Magma Edition’, the painted layers create the appearance of bright lava flowing under an ashy volcanic rock. Using acrylic paints, the hand-painted elements are extensive and include the abstract sections, whiskers and nose, making each print a unique work of art.

This is the first reproduction of one of Sonny’s canvas paintings since his ‘To The Bone’ series back in 2018. The print is based on one of his most loved paintings, ‘A L N I T A K’. To ensure top quality print production, Sonny created this run in his own studio, so that he could personally oversee the entire process. The run was printed on a top of the range Epson 11 colour fine art printer with archival inks, on 310gsm cotton rag.

The white tiger is a natural anomaly with 1 in 15,000 chance of occurring in the wild. Yet, the last time that a white tiger was seen in the wild was in 1958, when it was tragically shot by a trophy hunter. The rarity, power and beauty of the white tiger, saw it become a mythological creature in many eastern cultures. In ancient Chinese culture it was said that  the white tiger would only appear when the emperor ruled with absolute virtue, or if there was peace throughout the world. We can only hope that in the future the world will know peace and the wild white tiger will rise again!
